2 months with Miss Penelope!

Oh she's so fun!!! She's developed quite a lot in the past month! Bath time is a lot more enjoyable, she's into more of a routine with eating and sleeping, she is even more smiley and expressive... She coos a lot now and holds her head wayyyy up high during tummy time! But on her two month birthday she rolled over for the very first time!!
Picture mid roll!

I'm glad Lucas captured it because I was actually GONE... Yes the one time I leave the house she rolls over and I miss it! Lucas tried to video tape it but of course it stopped recoding mid roll because his phone rand out of space! I was lucky enough to be able to rush home and she rolled again for me!

She's seriously such a joy, I miss her when she's sleeping and it's hard not to just hold her every second! We had her  2 month check up today (3/3/14) and she was doing fabulous the doctor said! He was very impressed with how well she can hold her head up and that she already rolled over... Telling us she was "advanced", I mean come on every momma wants to hear their kiddo is doing amazing! She weighed 10lbs 15oz today which put her in the 38th percentile! Her length was 22inches placing her in the 27th percentile and her little head was 15 1/2 inches putting her in the 71st percentile!! She needs room for that special sweet brain we say!!

She's still a great eater and sleeps so darn good at night! She actually slept for 7.5 straight hours a few nights ago and that was amazing!

Our only struggle is getting her to finally go to sleep, she's just very active and if you stop bouncing her she gets fussy or those little eyes pop right open! Another concern is just about every time we put her down for tummy time she falls asleep, I think she just loves sleeping on her tummy but it makes us scared! I know once she's more mobile we won't be able to keep her from sleeping how she wants but that'll be ok! It's so darn cute to see her bring her little hand to her mouth and just fall right to sleep!

I started reading Charlotte's Web to her the other day! She's good for about 5-15 minutes and then she either falls asleep or wants to get up and have me walk around with her (move move move that's what she wants all the time). So we will see how long it takes us to get through the book!!

Lucas has been on Psychology rotation and that's been amazing, he has a lot more time now to spend at home with us which is good because Penelope is VERY attached to me! I worked for the first time for a few hours this past Saturday and she gave him a pretty rough time while I was gone! Of course the second I get home and grab her she's all smiles and giggles!! I like that she's so attached to me, but I know she needs to be comfortable being separated from me for a little bit!!

I think that's all for now, till next month...
